Dr Gupta is a Dental Surgeon based at Mumbai. He has been figured in the Limca Book of Records for his Motorcycle riding speed records here in India as also abroad in the USA.
This failed record ride will be a major story for me to write soon. Doc Arn has allowed me to use his pictures and write his story.
We Bikenomads are working on that.
He just about survived this at minus 15 deg centigrade. Lucky, he is safe and sound.
For all his amazing skills and records, he is humility personified in person. He taught me that, when riding a mo bike.
We went through this pass in snow and ice conditions just a few days later, at a height of 17,000 odd feet above sea level.

Recession is Real
Empty berths at the JNPT Container Terminal.
Traffic is down 30 %. Ships that come here have just 60 % load. Freight rates are badly down. Seafarers jobs are hard to come by.
Large number of Bulk Carriers are laid up outside various ports at anchor, hoping to book cargo.
Some Owners have taken delivery of new ships in China and sent them straight to the scrapyard, rather than idle them at anchor.
